Incredibly simple weight cooker chicken and rice dish formula we make in our Instant Pot an evening or two ago for supper. Only 10 minutes cooks chicken, rice and vegetables consummately. My children completely love this dinner.

We eat a ton of chicken, rice, and vegetables so it just appeared well and good to make each of the three in my Instant Pot versus the stove top at this point. This incredibly simple weight cooker chicken and rice formula takes only 15 minutes to cook and get ready. Indeed, even my children state it's an extraordinary formula. We adore meals and this fundamental Campbells chicken and rice is from my youth. Presently it cooks much quicker however. It's one of our preferred Instant Pot plans, and recorded there among numerous other simple dishes you should attempt! (initially distributed 3/17)

Adding vegetables to this dish gives it incredible flavor, surface, and I locate the more I incorporate them in our meals the more my children like them. Obviously you can preclude in the event that you wish. 😉

Prepared with simply some salt and dark pepper, it's so natural to put together. I utilize solidified vegetables to make things simpler.

  • 1 lb chicken breasts cut into cubes, boneless, skinless
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 c mixed vegetables frozen
  • 1 c white rice not instant, we use long grain white rice
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 onions diced
  • pinch pepper
  • 2 c chicken broth could use water
  • 1/2 c cheese cheddar, shredded
  • 2 tbsp olive oil


  1. Put cubed chicken pieces and diced onions into Instant Pot with olive oil and set to saute, cook until chicken is cooked on the outside (will continue to cook in next step so outside just needs to be cooked/white in color). Turn pot off! 
  2. Sprinkle with seasonings. Add cream of chicken soup, frozen vegetables, and broth into your pressure cooker. Stir together WELL until clumps of cream of chicken are smoothed out.
  3. Sprinkle rice on top and DO NOT Stir!!
  4. Put lid on Instant Pot, close steam valve and set to manual, pressure low, for 10 minutes. (if you don't have the low option then just press the white rice button, or high pressure for 10 minutes hasn't been an issue for others either)
  5. Allow to naturally release for 5 minutes when done, let out rest of steam, and carefully lift lid. Add cheese now and stir until melted or serve topped with cheese.
