DERBY DAY KENTUCKY MINT JULEP RECIPE #healthydrink #easyrecipe

Ideal for Derby Day or some other warm day, this cool and reviving mint julep formula is made with pounded ice, a simple straightforward syrup, Kentucky whiskey and crisp mint. This notable Kentucky mixed drink is exactly what you need this mid year!

it is safe to say that you are a games fan? A great many people who express yes to that adoration increasingly customary games like football or baseball (yes to both for me please!!), yet did you realize that the Kentucky Derby is the longest running game in the United States? It happens the principal Saturday in May, yearly, and is held in Louisville, Kentucky.

I've never really been, however I have family that lives in Louisville, so I like to consider myself a privileged Kentuckian!

So for what reason am I going on about the Kentucky derby? Well in light of the fact that the mint julep is the official beverage of the derby, with more than 120,000 mint juleps served over the derby end of the week every year! That is a ton of whiskey! I've never had one of the notorious mixed drinks at Churchill Downs (where the Derby is run), yet this is my turn on the exemplary mint julep!
